ROTWILD »Sperber« Hunting Knife
Thanks to its slender blade and the straight handle, the »Sperber« hunting knife is suitable for dressing out cloven-hoofed game as well as for general outdoor use. Its integral design (blade, tang and butt are made from one piece) makes the knife particularly robust. The blade is made of Böhler N690 rustproof steel with a high edge-holding capacity. Deer horn is used for the handle, whose natural structure ensures a good grip. The grooves on the blade back serve as a thumb rest, allowing the knife to be guided safely. The Otter company was founded around 1840 in a small »Kotten« - a traditional water-powered grinding shop - near the Königsmühle at Solingen. It was named after the otters living on the banks there at that time. Even today, the pocket and fixed knives are carefully handcrafted in Solingen.
