On 27 July 1887, Johann Braun, at the age of 26, founded a craftsman’s workshop as a master saddler and upholsterer in Kirn (Germany). In 1974, the brand BRAUN BÜFFEL was established. The brand name combines the family name BRAUN with the symbol of the BÜFFEL (buffalo). The buffalo emblem represents strength and power, referencing the use of water buffalo leather, which was common in the 1970s. Today, the family-owned company is in its fourth generation and continues to manufacture at its original locations in Kirn and Offenbach, making it one of the few German manufacturers in the leather goods industry. For decades, BRAUN BÜFFEL has also collaborated with renowned partner manufacturers abroad.
