Châteauneuf-du-Pape »Les Charretons« AOP Red Wine, 750 ml

Description

The vinification: The Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine region is located in the southern Rhône valley in the village of the same name. Up to thirteen different grape varieties may be used for this wine. In this case, three are used: Grenache, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. The vines grow on coarse gravel and sand. The grapes are destemmed by hand and fermented with their skins for three to five weeks.

The wine: Elegant and complex, this cuvée presents itself in a warm red robe. The power of the soils is reflected in the bouquet of brandy cherries, bay leaf, paprika and a hint of nutmeg. The wine delights with a palate full of dark fruits, chocolate and pipe tobacco. In the long finish you can taste the smooth texture and its full-bodied and intense aroma.

The food:Ideal complement for meat, wild fowl and game.
