Buttertea
Buttertea is the traditional drink in Mongolia. Every guest is offered a »Süutei Tsai« (buttertea) as a sign of hospitality when entering the traditional yurt. Since the best cashmere yarns in the world are created by blending fibres from Mongolia (the longest and most durable) and Inner Mongolia (softer, lighter, but also significantly shorter), the name »buttertea« is a tribute to the country of origin of this unique raw material and to the kindness of the Mongolian people. In the beginning, there was a desire for products made of cashmere that would last a lifetime if cared for properly. Research led the buttertea team to Tuscany (Italy). The products there are made on hand-knitting machines in small batches from the incomparable 2ply/28 yarns, which are spun in the most renowned and oldest spinning mill for cashmere yarns in Italy, so that every piece is unique.
