Description
This two-button men's jacket in English style is light and breathable in summer. The harmoniously coordinated colours are expressed in a fresh, clear way in the cotton-silk fabric from Magee. With breast welt pocket, three flap pockets, side vents and two inside pockets, one of which can be closed with a button. The green half lining corresponds with the similarly coloured overcheck. The red overcheck is picked up with the likewise red undercollar. The edges and flaps have high-quality, hand-stitch style seams.
Magee, a company that specialises in tweed fabrics, was founded more than 150 years ago. At the end of the 18th century, this durable, coarse fabric was hand-woven by part-time fishermen or farmers and part-time weavers in Donegal. It was the perfect fabric to counter the damp and cold weather that is common in the north west of Ireland. Today, a family business proudly continues the tradition of weaving in Donegal Town. With full conviction, only natural fibres such as wool, silk, linen and cotton are used.
