The women’s boiled wool sweater »Vela«, made of premium W50 boiled wool (360 g/m²), is the ideal companion for cool days in the countryside. Through the traditional fulling process, pure virgin wool is compacted, giving the material particularly high durability and resilience – ideal for hunting or outdoor activities.
The natural wool ensures a balanced body climate by regulating temperature and neutralising unpleasant odours. The lanolin naturally present in the wool acts as a water-repellent and self-cleaning barrier by forming a protective layer around the fibres, reducing the absorption of dirt.
The sweater features a simple, close-fitting design, subtly elevated by the distinctively framed V-neckline that adds a relaxed touch. Wide cuffs on the sleeves and hem enhance the elegant yet sporty look. The adjustable drawcord at the hem allows for a custom fit to block out cold air and provide extra protection from the wind.
This sweater is not only durable and water-repellent, but also breathable and absolutely silent.

Founded in Wahlstedt in 1984 by Andrea and Frank Schürmeyer, the company has been producing clothing and accessories made of pure new wool and merino wool under the brand name Mufflon since 1998. The process of fulling is thousands of years old. Mufflon clothes are amongst the very few outdoor products that are fully produced in Germany. The wool used by Schoeller comes from mulesing-free animal husbandry andis certified by bluesign® to meet high standards. This certification guarantees the highest possible absence of harmful substances, as well as the highest quality and functionality. Mufflon products are fulled with biodegradable additives only and without any chemicals. A major concern of the company is the environmental compatibility of their products as well as the efficient use of energy and water in their manufacture. For this reason, a considerable amount of the electricity required for production has been generated by the in-house photovoltaic system on the company building since mid-2011.
