Description
Classic ladies lace-up shoes – the special feature of these lasts is a comfortable fit, where you no longer stand on the forefoot, but on the whole foot or on the heel area, despite the high heel. This ladies shoe is half welted with a leather sole and a rubber coating is glued to the leather sole and heel for protection in rainy weather. The 4 to 4.5 cm high curved heel is constructed entirely of leather. The upper leather and the lining are fine calfskin. These ladies' shoes have a classic Derby lacing and are made in Germany in a traditional, double-stitched style. This particularly durable and almost waterproof way in which the sole is created is only carried out by a few specialists nowadays. Genuine double-stitched design; can be repaired or renewed by the manufacturer after long use.
Double-Stitched Style
In shoe-making, the word »style« describes the join between the top and the bottom of the shoe. »Double-stitched« is the most robust style, traditionally used for climbing boots. In this technique, after finishing the first stitching, the upper shoe leather is curled up and sewn to the midsole. Turning the leather provides stronger protection against moisture. Double stitching makes shoes particularly robust.
