Since 1776, Joshua Ellis in North Yorkshire has been weaving fine raw materials such as camel hair, soft merino wool, Escorial wool and purest cashmere into fine cloths and unique, supple cashmere scarves and stoles. The exceptional quality comes from the raw fibres originating in the Asian steppes of Mongolia and China, the careful processing on traditional looms and the special finishing process using old wooden rolling drums, as well as the world-famous »ripple or zibeline finish« at the end of a twenty-one-stage production process, which gives the cashmere fabric its undulating, silky surface. The very soft water in North Yorkshire brings out the best in the fibres. You will be immediately won over as soon as the fibres touch your skin.
