The »Nieu Bethesda Big Game« is a rugged safari rifle sling, crafted of premium-quality cotton canvas webbing imported from Great Britain. With a width of 50 mm, it sits comfortably on the shoulder, ensuring even weight distribution even with the heaviest rifles, thereby significantly reducing arm fatigue during long and demanding hunting expeditions.
A sturdy brass pin, secured through a hand-stitched leather attachment on the canvas, guarantees a safe and reliable connection to the rifle. The sling features high-quality loop-end leather buckles, perfectly designed for sling swivels with a minimum opening of 20 mm. This enables quick and effortless attachment or removal, ideal for situations where the sling is not constantly needed. Thanks to its easily adjustable strap, the rifle sling offers exceptional flexibility: It can be shortened to 88 cm, making it a perfect fit for any double rifle, or extended up to 110 cm – ideal for large-calibre rifles with barrel bands. This attachment method is particularly favoured as it secures the sling further forward on the barrel, ensuring better balance when carrying the rifle.
The leather details are meticulously hand-cut and sewn with a durable, wax-coated cotton thread in a labour-intensive process. To achieve its distinctive finish, Els & Co. treats the leather with a unique blend of beeswax, animal fat, and plant oils, imparting a beautiful patina. All fittings are made from solid brass sourced from England, guaranteeing the highest quality.
