Description
Westray is the name of one of the outer Orkney Islands off the Scottish mainland, and it is from here that the inspiration for this particular cardigan came. It is made from pure, super soft Shetland wool by knitting specialist Rosy Eribé in Scotland. Details such as the genuine horn buttons and the stockinette stitch finishes at the neckline and hems underline the fine craftsmanship. In combination with a skirt or in typical British style under a tweed jacket, the short and boxy cardigan is an absolute head-turner.

Rosy Eribé, a knitting specialist from Melrose in Scotland, skilfully mixes patterns, colours and materials with great attention to detail, and has thus acquired a special reputation for traditional, but modern Fair Isle patterns. The garments are knitted on state-of-the-art machines, mainly on site and in a small Bulgarian family business specialising in the production of these elaborate circular knitted cardigans and sweaters. The jackets/sweaters tend to be cut short and quite close to the body. They therefore combine well with skirts.
