Lined with Sympatex.
The upper is made of particularly durable, hydrophobic greased leather, which is treated with water-repellent agents during the tanning process. These penetrate deep into the leather fibres, making the material permanently water-resistant while maintaining breathability. In combination with the Sympatex lining, the boot provides reliable protection against moisture and ensures a balanced foot climate in all weather conditions.
For maximum durability and resilience, all leather components are triple-stitched. The proven storm welted construction – also known as Norwegian welt – not only offers a high degree of waterproofing, but also allows for easy sole replacement and repair. This makes the »Osprey« particularly suitable for frequent and intensive use in hunting environments or on extended treks off the beaten track.
With a shaft height of approximately 28 cm, the boot offers secure support and reliable protection around the ankle – even on rocky or uneven ground. The robust Vibram commando sole provides excellent grip on wet, slippery or snowy ground and is known for its high abrasion resistance and durability.
The generously shaped last with extra-wide toe area ensures a comfortable fit, even when worn with thick shooting socks. Two distinctive metal buckles with a surrounding leather strap allow for precise adjustment at the ankle, ensuring a secure and individually regulated fit at all times. A continuous footbed combined with a cork-insulated midsole regulates temperature and provides effective cushioning over long distances.
The boots come with a Field & Moor dust bag and a spare pair of laces. A special feature is the removable rifle rest, which can be practically threaded through the lower lacing and worn in place.
