Description
The beak shoe gets its unmistakable character from the cultural heritage of the Sami, the indigenous people of Lapland. From day one, the »Blötnäbb« is a very comfortable shoe with ankle-high upper leather. The reindeer hides from the wild animals are tanned according to ancient techniques using only vegetable additives, which keeps the leather particularly breathable and supple. The advantages are quickly noticeable in the wearing comfort, with the supple reindeer leather adapting perfectly to the shape of the foot and ensuring a natural exchange of moisture. Heel and sole are made of robust natural rubber.
Reindeer leather products
Reindeer leather is particularly pliable and soft. It is traditionally used for making mittens, shoes, hats, jackets and bags. The products offered here are made 200 km north of the arctic circle near the border between Sweden and Finland.
