Description
This men's shirt with cutaway collar and split yoke is as full of character as the Italian Albini linen. As otherwise only usual for tailor-made clothing, the sleeves are inset in-the-round for excellent freedom of movement. It is slightly shaped at the waist on the sides and back. The collar and the cuffs are comfortably soft with a loose cotton insert. A fine seam pattern ensures that the garment will last for a long time. Hand-sewn shirt gussets at the side seams round off the narrow 2 mm hem. The slightly irregular yarns lend the naturally cooling linen a fine, somewhat rustic structure. The back length for size 39 is 78 cm.
This shirt is not cut double-buck (e.g. in the combined size 41/ 42) as is often the case today, but in single sizes as in the old tailoring tradition. We recommend that you choose the larger shirt if you hover between two sizes.

The quality of a shirt is no coincidence; it starts with the selection of the best raw material fibres – in this case, flax from northern France and Belgium's coastal regions. Linen and cotton fabrics from the Albini weaving mill in Bergamo are top-quality products that have been created through many stages of intensive optimisation over five generations. Even before weaving, many work steps such as the selection of the best fibres, and the dyeing and spinning of the yarns are carried out in-house in order to keep control over the complete production process. The results are not only impressive, they are also very durable and are comfortable to wear. During the first wash, the collar generally loses about 1 cm in circumference. This has already been taken into account when cutting the shirt, so that it may initially look a little too wide when first fitted to the neck. This ensures that the collar has the right width in the long run. The sleeve length varies due to size-specific shoulder widths.
