The »Wangen« aviator boots are specially designed for raised hide hunting in severe sub-zero temperatures. Made ofgreased, full-grain cowhide and fully lined with genuine shearling, these boots offer reliable protection in cold conditions – ideal for long periods of sitting during hunts, working in frosty terrain, or cold driven game days.
Materials & craftsmanship
The hydrophobic cowhide upper is particularly hard-wearing, water-repellent and easy to care for. Thanks to a specialised tanning process, the leather dries more quickly than conventional material and supports better thermal regulation. The upper shaft section is made of naturally grown suede shearling, which provides additional warmth and contributes to the boot’s distinctive appearance. Manufactured in a double-stitched construction at the company’s own workshop in Hungary, these boots stand for quality and durability.
Function & comfort
The interior is fully lined with genuine shearling. The naturally grown fleece regulates temperature in a natural way, retains body heat and at the same time allows for effective air circulation – ideal for extended periods of stillness. For additional comfort, the boots feature a removable insole made of genuine shearling.
The mid-height shaft with a stabilising strap provides heel support and a secure fit – even over longer distances. A side zip makes them easy to put on and take off.
Sole & tread
The non-slip latex rubber sole with deep tread ensures firm footing on frozen ground and is ideally suited for winter use in the field.
The double-stitched construction creates a robust, long-lasting bond between the shaft and the sole. This makes the boots particularly durable and easy to repair if necessary – a resource-conscious alternative to replacing them entirely.
