The Foxdenton Spirits & Liqueurs is associated with the aristocratic families Maxwell and Radclyffe and looks back on a history of more than 300 years of producing fine gins. Laksen and Nicholas Radclyffe were both passionate about hunting and traditional »field sports« — this is how a Sloe gin was created by hunters for hunters.
The Laksen Sloe Gin has a wonderful red colour. As soon as you open it, the characteristically fruity aromas reach the nose. The flavour of sloes, which are related to plums, is clearly in the foreground. Spicy on the nose, strong and rich with notes of juniper, sloes and almonds, giving way to almond and marzipan, as well as ripe dark plums on the palate. The taste of sloes and other ripe red remain on the tongue long after drinking. The classic tart to spicy flavours of gin fade discreetly into the background and round off the taste harmoniously.
Sloe gin is, strictly speaking, a liqueur based on Foxdenton Distillery's own award-winning London Dry Gin. Sloe gin differs from classic gins in that it is not distilled, but rather the sloes are steeped in gin that has already been distilled. This process is called »maceration«. Foxdenton Spirits & Liqueurs deliberately uses less sugar than in conventional sloe gins but with a slightly increased alcohol content. The result is a full-bodied sloe gin with an alcoholic strength of 27% — a sloe gin as it has been appreciated for decades.
Enjoy the Laksen Sloe Gin neat in small glasses or with ice. Due to its fruity note, it is excellent in champagne or mixed drinks. A real treat for connoisseurs and lovers of aromatic fruity gins.

    Laksen

In 1977, Laksen Sporting began producing quality clothing for hunting and fly fishing, and not least, handmade fly fishing rods, on a small scale in house. Everything was designed, manufactured and sold exclusively in Denmark. In 1979-1980 this changed rapidly, as Laksen Sporting was granted the first European license to manufacture clothing with waterproof Gore-Tex technology. Being one of the first brands to offer real waterproof garments to hunters and fly fishers in Europe, Laksen Sporting grew quickly and the export adventure started. Garments for hunting and shooting soon became the majority of their business and by the end of the 1990s the focus was solely on hunting and shooting. In 1999, they introduced the first lightweight and waterproof-breathable pure wool tweed products, which lead to extensive growth. Today, the continued passion for sporting adventures like shooting, stalking and hunting drives the employees of Laksen Sporting to develop excellent clothing and accessories for any kind of sporting situation in all thinkable weather conditions.
