The Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve Highland, 700 ml

The »Highland Single Malt Cigar Malt Reserve« is a composition of several malts. It draws its flavours from the particular combination of casks used to mature the whisky. Under the watchful eye of master distiller Richard Paterson, the whiskey is first matured in American bourbon white oak casks and then in exclusive Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks. This creates a wonderfully harmonious base note of honey and vanilla. The final touch is given to the malt when it is matured in Premier Cru Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks. A selection of ten to fifteen year old single malts is used for the blending of the »Highland Single Malt Cigar Malt Reserve«. It is blended especially for the lovers of a good cigar.
An exquisite reddish amber tone in the glass, the bouquet is complex with subtle nuances of vanilla and caramel, complemented by a hint of spice and a fine fruity note of ripe red fruits. Powerful on the tongue with fruity-exotic aromas of sun-ripened mangoes, aromatic bananas and fruity oranges, finely balanced with nuances of caramel, vanilla and fine roasted aromas. The finish is intense, spicy and long-lasting with the delicate aroma of orange zest and a hint of vanilla.The Scottish distillery bottled this malt, which is perfect with a cigar, with an alcohol content of ABV 44 %. Loosely translated »Dalmore« means »great valley«. Single Malts by Dalmore are characterised above all by their dark-fruity aromas. These are created by the use of sherry casks during the maturation of this Highland whisky. The water comes from the Averon river. It has its source near Loch Morie in the heart of the northern Highlands and flows through the small town of the same name where the distillery is located. Dalmore malts have been distilled for generations in hand-hammered copper stills of various sizes. The different sizes of the pot stills create a complex and particularly full-bodied whisky.
